Take a train to Interlaken to visit the Jungfraujoch. On arrival in Interlaken Ost station, change to the Jungfraubahn train for the journey to Europe’s highest railway station at 3454 metres above sea level. Visit the Ice Palace, Sphinx observation hall and Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven. On your descent, spend some time exploring Interlaken and its amazing Hoheweg (main street) with its numerous watch and jewelry shops and make sure to pick up some souvenirs along the way. You have an option of visiting one of the nearby towns today. You can visit Zurich, Switzerland’s financial capital. From Zurich, you can also visit the nearby Rhine Falls- Europe’s largest waterfall. Alternatively, you can also opt for an optional guided tour to the Rhine Falls and the medieval town of Stein Am Rhein. Overnight in Lucerne.

If the call of the mountains beckon you today, head off to Zermatt and an optional excursion to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The train journey from Lucerne to Zermatt is approximately 3.45 hours so make sure you head off early. Arrive into the car free village of Zermatt and take a short walk through the center of town till you reach the Matterhorn valley station. Then ascend by Europe’s highest aerial cable way to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise for a close up view of the mighty Matterhorn which is the inspiration behind the shape of the legendary Toblerone chocolate. Take a train to Engelberg to visit Mount Titlis. On arrival at Engelberg, make your way to the Titis valley station. ride the Rotair - the revolving cable car whose cabins rotate 360 degrees to give you an unforgettable view. Ride the ice flyer chair lift and walk on the Cliff Walk suspension bridge. Overnight in Lucerne.

You have a fun day today. Take the train to Interlaken and then onwards to Grindelwald to visit the Top of Adventure - Grindelwald First (optional). Like every other mountain, Grindelwald First can be reached by cable car, but it’s the descent that matters here. You can descend in stages via the First Glider, the mountain cart and the trottibike scooter, all of which promise to give you an amazing adventurous experience! Overnight in Lucerne.

Today you can stay closer to Lucerne and explore the other attractions. Either visit one of the nearby mountains like Mt Pilatus (optional) or else visit the Swiss Transport Museum (optional) for a fun filled and educative day with the family. The Swiss Transport Museum also houses a planetarium, Switzerland’s largest cinema screen and the interactive Swiss Chocolate Adventure. Overnight in Lucerne.
